Paddy Lambert is back to give the 2026 Winter Lecture for HiFARS. The mosaics in Roman Britain are arguably the most visible media from the province of Britannia and represent the ultimate Roman art form. In Britain they are enjoyed the same today much as they were intended 2,000 years ago. However, many contain hidden stories of their creation, their art and their societies and give us a very real window into their world. From the sublime to the ridiculous - this talk is an adventure through some of those stories.
